Baking for Our Sweet Neighbors!

Sharing a little love and a warm treat.

I spent a wonderful weekend baking fresh chocolate chip cookies to drop off to some of our sweet elderly neighbors. There is nothing like sharing a chat, a prayer and something sweet!

Getting the cookies scooped and ready for the oven!

As I was out delivering this batch, I had the privilege of meeting some sweet elderly ladies running a neighborhood garage sale. It got me thinking about how easy it is for our fast-paced world to overlook our senior community members, sometimes treating them like their seasons of impact have passed. But in God’s eyes, every single stage of life is beautiful, purposeful, and deeply valued.

We are called to lean in and make sure they know they are never forgotten. As Scripture reminds us in Hebrews 3:13:

“But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called ‘Today’…”

A simple treat and a genuine conversation can be a powerful reminder that people still care deeply about them.

Freshly baked, golden brown, and smelling amazing.

Never Giving Up at Any Stage

No matter what stage of life you find yourself in today—whether you are young and figuring things out, in the busy middle years, or walking through your golden years—your story is not finished! God still has a purpose for your days, a plan for your wisdom, and love for you to share.

How you can carry this truth into your week:
If you are feeling lonely, tired, or wondering if your current season still matters, take a deep breath and remember that you matter immensely to your Creator. Don’t give up! Look for small ways to encourage someone else today, or simply open your heart to receive the comfort Jesus wants to pour into your life.

Letting them cool down before packaging.

All wrapped up with a scripture and ready to be delivered!

A Song for Your Heart Today:
To lift your spirits and remind you that He is faithful in every season of life, I invite you to take a few quiet minutes to listen to this encouraging song:
