Pouring extra love into a fresh batch for a special group.
There is nothing quite like gathering with a wonderful group of women, except maybe when the room is filled with the smell of warm cinnamon rolls! I had the joy of baking a fresh batch to share with my women’s Bible study group. So grateful for them.
Bright and early, getting everything ready to roll out from scratch!

Spending time with these wonderful women always reminds me of a beautiful truth: we were never supposed to do this life alone. God did not design us to carry our heavy burdens by ourselves. That is exactly why Jesus died on the cross for us—He removes our burdens, carries our weights, and sustains us when we are weak.
It is so vital to stay connected and have people to talk to, because this life can get incredibly hard to deal with. Sometimes we just need someone to walk with us, someone who will truly listen when we are going through rough times, or even someone who will just sit there with us in complete silence. Just being together makes a difference.
Most importantly, God wants us to cry out to Him and say, “Lord, I can’t do this life without You.” He wants us to be completely real and raw with Him. Remember, He knows you completely—He sees the deep parts of your heart that nobody else sees. His love for you is infinite; He will never love you any more or any less than He does right now. His heart never changes, and He yearns for you to reach out to Him.
As Scripture beautifully promises in Psalm 91:4:
“He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
Fresh out of the oven, warm, and covered in plenty of icing!

Finding My Best Friend in the Loneliness
I understand how hard it can be, because I’ve had to walk through seasons of life feeling completely isolated, like I didn’t connect with anybody. It was a deeply lonely and depressed time. But I learned a few life-changing truths through that season:
We are truly never alone. God is right there, gently waiting for us to reach out to Him. He is a gentleman; He will never force Himself on you, but He is always waiting.
Sometimes God lets us experience those lonely spaces because He wants us to learn that He is truly all we need. In those days when I felt like I had absolutely no one to turn to, I finally fell on my knees and cried out to God in desperation.
When we get real and desperate with God, things start to happen. The chains of depression start to break, and true healing begins. I had to learn that when I look to Him, He will supply all my needs and heal every past hurt. I started to look to my Heavenly Father as my absolute best friend. I began talking to Him just like I would talk to a best friend. He accepted me raw, broken, and ugly, and He loved me through every bit of it. He never left my side, and He healed me in the process.
All wrapped up with a reminder of His strength and ready for a beautiful afternoon together.

If you are feeling lonely, misunderstood, or heavily burdened today, I invite you to hide under the shadow of His wings. Be raw with Him. Talk to Him like your best friend, because He is waiting to listen.
